Public Consultation
Community Land Management Plans
The District Council of Loxton Waikerie is seeking community feedback regarding a number of proposed Community Land Management Plans:
- Cemeteries
- Waikerie Riverfront (township)
- Loxton Riverfront (township)
- Waikerie Recreation Grounds
- Loxton Recreation Grounds
At its meeting held 18 February 2026, Council moved to adopt the draft Community Land Management Plans (CLMPs) for public consultation.
Under the Local Government Act 1999, all community land must be managed in accordance with a CLMP. The purpose of a CLMP is to guide the use, development, and maintenance of community land in line with its purpose, classification, and community expectations.
The draft plans address matters such as land use, access, permitted activities, environmental considerations, and long-term community benefit.
