That the Asset Management Committee, having reviewed the Draft Asset Management Plan 2026/2035, adopt for public consultation.

Asset Management Plans (AMPs) assist the Council in effectively prioritising and allocating resources for the maintenance, renewal, and enhancement of assets, considering both the services these assets provide and their current condition.

They play a crucial role in financial planning by promoting cost-effective asset management, maintaining established renewal ratios, and facilitating long-term budget forecasting.

AMPs are a key component of the Council’s strategic management plans as outlined in Section 122 of the Local Government Act. They are designed to align with the Council’s strategic objectives and contribute to the Long Term Financial Plan.

Public Consultation on the Draft Asset Management Plan will take place between Wednesday 18 September and Wednesday 9 October 2024.
