Background

In April 2025, the Riverland's Connected and Active Communities Project Officer delivered the inaugural Gamechanger event. Held at St Francis of Assisi College, Gamechanger is a club development seminar designed to give local sport, recreation, leisure, and community organisations access to training across a range of key club development areas.

The event featured 12 practical, hands-on sessions to support the growth and sustainability of local clubs, covering topics such as governance, grant writing, succession planning, social media, coaching, strategic planning and more.

Planning is now underway for the 2026 event, aiming to build on the success of 2025 and respond to the feedback provided by attendees. The event is proposed for the last Saturday in March, and we want to ensure it delivers content that is relevant and valuable for local clubs.

To help shape the program, please complete this short survey. Let us know which club development topics your organisation would like included, and feel free to suggest any additional areas of interest. We are also seeking your preference on whether a Level 1 or Level 2 Sports Trainer Course would be most beneficial for Riverland clubs.

The survey is now open for feedback using the link below, closing Sunday 11 January at 11:59pm.

The Connected and Active Communities Project is proudly funded by the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing and supported by the three Riverland Councils.
