Long Term Lease Agreement - Loxton Aquatic Club

Pursuant to the Local Government Act 1999 s202(2).

Council is seeking community feedback on a proposed 21-year + 21-year ground lease agreement with the Loxton Aquatic Club for a portion of land on Grant Schubert Drive, Loxton.

The proposed lease will provide security of tenure for the club and enable long-term planning and investment in the facility.

In accordance with the Local Government Act 1999, Section 202(2), the Council is required to conduct public consultation before granting a lease on community land.

The proposed lease agreement aims to:

  • Provide secure, long-term access to community land for key user groups;
  • Support the delivery of community services and recreational opportunities;
  • Enable investment in infrastructure and facilities that benefit the wider community.

Public Consultation will take place between Wednesday 4 March and Wednesday 25 March 2026.

  • in person, in writing, at the Council’s offices at 35 Bookpurnong Road, Loxton or Strangman Road, Waikerie.

Written submissions will be accepted until 5.00 pm on Wednesday 25 March 2025.
