Paruna Golf Club Lease Agreement

Pursuant to the Local Government Act 1999 s200(2).

The District Council of Loxton Waikerie is seeking community feedback regarding a five-year lease agreement for the Paruna Golf Course.

Background

Previously the Paruna Golf Course was operated by a thriving club that utilised the existing clubrooms as a venue for the public to gather before or after a game of golf. Events and fundraisers were held on a regular basis and had the support of locals and visitors.

Currently the golf course is in bad shape after years of neglect and needs quite a bit of care and attention to restore it to usable. The clubrooms are insured by the Council for demolition only however the intended occupants hope to restore the clubrooms to a usable condition.
