Pursuant to the Local Government Act 1999 s202(2).

Council is seeking community feedback on a proposed 42-year ground lease agreement with the Waikerie Bowling Club for a portion of land at Lot 1C Sichler Street, Waikerie.

The proposed lease will provide security of tenure for the club and enable long-term planning and investment in the facility.

In accordance with the Local Government Act 1999, Section 202(2), the Council is required to conduct public consultation before granting a lease on community land. Additionally, the proposed lease's business use and its length—a 42 year term —represents further requirements for public consultation.

Public Consultation will take place between Wednesday 8 October and Wednesday 29 October 2025.
